Linda Lightner has served as a Curriculum Writer for the Business and Industry Services Division for Francis Tuttle Technology Center since August 2008. She is currently writing curriculum for the Center for Municipal Excellence, a partnership between the City of Edmond and Francis Tuttle. Linda has written training materials on topics ranging from concrete and asphalt to storm sewer drainage and right-of-way maintenance. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with the Public Relations option. After college, Linda held several media-related positions including positions with The Daily Oklahoman and the American Red Cross. In 1990, Linda went to work for Valcom Computer Center in Oklahoma City where she developed, marketed and managed a computer training facility. In 1994 she began teaching instructor-led computer classes for Francis Tuttle Technology Center. She specialized in the instruction of operating systems, desktop publishing and Microsoft Office. During her 16 years as a computer software instructor, Linda also developed training materials for classes including WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Internet Basics and Microsoft Windows. Linda is a native of Oklahoma and currently resides in Edmond with her husband and two children.
