This program prepares students to become Database Administrators and/or Database Programmers. Database Administrators are responsible for the accuracy, security, quality, and accessibility of company data. Database Programmers write, test and maintain programs that manipulate information stored in databases. Both provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of relational database management systems and applications. These career pathways include courses in database theory, database modeling and design, database programming using SQL and PL/SQL, database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery using relational database products. We are a certified Oracle Academy and we will prepare you to take the Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) and Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification exams. Other topics of study include Programming Fundamentals, Visual Basic, and Linux.

Oracle Academy

Database Programmer - $14.00 to $19.00 per hour

Database Administrator - $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
