About this Major

This program specializes in administration, with an emphasis on the practice of various medical office skills. The student completes classroom work using a personal computer. Current skills for word processing and medical office procedures are practiced.

A Medical Billing and Coding Specialist will train on how a doctors' office or medical office operates. Specifically, students learn the process of medical insurance, patient billing, and coding that maintains organization of several important medical records.
