The primary application you will learn is Maya, Autodesks' Oscar-winning software with many practical applications. It supports many industries including web animation, entertainment, training and education, engineering, communications and digital marketing, government and healthcare professions (ie. animated simulations), advertising, and the corporate world, where digital media is increasingly used as a visual marketing tool. You may use a variety of additional CGI tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Toon Boom, After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro, ZBrush, MotionBuilder, and compositing applications.
If you are interested in 3D Modeling, Animation, or Visual Effects, the Special Effects Technician major lets you experience the different aspects of these areas and enter college with clearly defined goals for your future.
