Accounting Services

Overview
Certified bookkeepers are one of the most critical positions within any organization, but especially for the small business owner. The Accounting Services program at Francis Tuttle provides training in financial accounting, analytical skills, and software applications, allowing individuals to become Full Charge Bookkeepers.
Students will learn manual and computerized methods of double entry bookkeeping using the latest software and equipment. Students begin with Accounting Principles, then progress to Financial and Payroll Accounting. Through hands-on projects, students learn to apply accounting knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios.
For adult students who are not able to attend on-ground classes, an online option is available for some majors. However, financial aid is available for the on-campus program only. Online courses provide content through Blackboard and the textbook publishers’ web sites. Students interested in the online program must have a computer, internet connection, printer, and Microsoft Office 2013 software. They must also have general knowledge of computer usage and be familiar with saving and emailing files. Students are required to complete a one-hour orientation with the accounting instructor.
