Pathway Information Guide


Facial care is one of the fastest growing industries in the beauty profession with new products and techniques being introduced to customers in the finest salons. The Francis Tuttle Esthetician program will prepare you for a career in this fast-growing field. Students learn facial massage; characteristics and function of the skin; electrical, chemical, and light therapy; facial machine techniques; and skin analysis. Upon completion of the Esthetician career major, students qualify to take the State Board of Cosmetology exam for licensing as an Esthetician.
For already licensed estheticians with two or more years of experience, our program provides the training needed to take the next step - becoming a licensed instructor. Due to the extensive education required, qualified instructors in this specialty field are in demand. Upon completion of the Esthetics Master Educator career major, you will qualify to take the State Board of Cosmetology Exam for licensing as an Esthetics Instructor.

Occupational Characteristics
The work environment for estheticians is indoors with a low to moderate noise level. It can be fast-paced at times. Exposure to blood-borne pathogens is possible and personal protective equipment is needed in some circumstances. High standards for quality and sanitation are important.

Daytime classes
2 sessions:
8:00 am -10:55 am and 12:30 pm -3:25 pm
High School students and part-time adults may enroll in either the AM or PM session. Full-time adult students enroll in both sessions.
Evening classes
Rockwell Campus only
Monday - Thursday Night
3:45 pm to 10:00 pm
Only full-time adults will be enrolled in this session.
