The practical nursing faculty believes the knowledge acquired in any nursing program is only a beginning. The practical nurse seeking to remain competent and mobile in the profession must be committed to lifelong learning. It is essential for the practical nurse to know how to acquire new knowledge outside a formal educational setting. Therefore the instructional focus of the program is on the process of learning how to learn.
