Computer programmers and systems analysts use logic and reasoning to identify complex problems and create innovative solutions. The great news is that projected occupational demand is high, and the pay is very good. The Programming and Software Development program provides training in object-oriented systems analysis, relational database design and computer programming. Primary emphasis is web based computer applications for business. State-of- the-art rapid application development tools are used for both open source and .Net platforms. Plus, students may have an individualized plan tailored to their specific goals.

Salary Range

Starting salaries for computer programmers with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS is in the range of $46,000. Non-degreed programmer starting salaries are generally less. The average annual Computer Programmer salary is around $60,000 with the bottom and top ranges hovering from about $35,000 to $97,000. Programmer/analysts salaries are generally higher than programmers.
