Russ Hester

Russ Hester

As Assistant Superintendent, Operations and Instructional Support, Russ Hester manages the Facility Management, Information Technology Services, and Event Services departments, along with overseeing District technology research and development. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer.

Russ has worked in the Information Technology field since 1980 in the following roles: Software design and development, technology training, database administration, project management, IT consulting and IT management. Over the years, Russ founded and sold numerous technology businesses including several eCommerce online retail stores. Prior to employment at Francis Tuttle, Russ worked for The American Education Corporation where he was responsible for the creation and implementation of A+ University, an online technology training organization. Russ is an instructor for the Certified Online Instructor program at Francis Tuttle and also teaches computer science, business technology and e-business courses for the University of Phoenix where he received the 2008 Faculty of the Year award.

In terms of community service interests, Russ serves on the Board of Directors for HeartLine encompassing the following community programs: The Gatekeeper program of Oklahoma County; The Volunteer Center of Central Oklahoma; and the Oklahoma 2-1-1 call center. Russ serves as program advisor for the Last Frontier Council/Learning for Life program.

Russ holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, a Master of Education degree in Technology and Design from Jones International University, and an Oklahoma School Superintendent Certification.
