Gold Star Award Program

Gold Star

Francis Tuttle Technology Center was named a Gold Star School for the 10th consecutive year at the 43rd Annual OkACTE Summer Conference held in Tulsa in August 2010.

The Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers' Gold Star School award program consists of a comprehensive set of criteria which establishes technology centers as exceptional in service to patrons of their communities. A minimum of 82.5 percent of all students who complete their program are (1)employed in jobs for which they were trained, (2) continuing their education, (3) or have joined the military;

Total enrollment for the previous year is at least 85 percent of capacity or the partner school service rate is at least 20% percent;

The Technology Center district must have a communications and marketing program and employs one full-time public information professional. This individual must also participate in the statewide Communications and Marketing Council;

The Technology Center has a commitment to serve business and industry by providing at least four (4) of nine (9) identified service areas;

The Technology Center seeks to serve special initiatives or provide additional services sensitive to needs of its constituency by providing at least four (4) of seven (7) identified services.
