About this Major

Building on a foundation of general animation skills, students pursuing the Concept Artist major learn and practice visual storytelling, composition, and rendering, while creating a portfolio of illustration to demonstrate their skills. Students will also learn and practice ways to monetize their art.

High school students at the Rockwell Campus can choose to submit a portfolio for the AP 2D Art and Design Portfolio Exam for the potential to earn college credit. Participation in AP lessons will earn students AP credit on their high school transcript.
