About this Program

Gain the skills you need to earn a job in the exciting and growing aerospace industry. The hands-on work done in class will prepare you with fundamental knowledge of the construction and repair of planes and the repair, construction, and operation of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

Students will work in state-of-the-art lab spaces using the same materials as professionals. Modern tools and workstations will give students a firsthand look at the jobs they could do with the certifications they can earn in this program.

Through this program, you can gain knowledge to earn a job-ready certification in:

  • Sheet metal fabrication and repair
  • Composites fabrication and repair
  • Drone piloting

Experienced instructors with time spent in the industry provide guidance and valuable feedback to students seeking careers in aviation. Francis Tuttle has established aerospace programs and, as a result, contacts within the industry to facilitate students’ journeys from training to jobs.

About this Major

Aviation & Drone Technologies is designed to provide a broad foundation in aviation technologies, including sheet metal and composite fabrication and repair, and advanced UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) systems, culminating in Remote Pilot Certification FAA Part 107. This curriculum aims to equip students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to pursue careers in various sectors of the aviation industry.
