We recently broke ground on our new two-story, 155,000 sq. ft. Danforth Campus in Edmond, which will have an entrepreneurship focus intended to encourage creativity. The incorporation of design thinking elements and dedicated spaces will foster an educational facility that fuels the entrepreneurial spirit in Oklahoma and elevates a new economy.
Danforth will be home to the brand new Entrepreneurship Academy. Students from all programs will be able to use two Design Thinking Studios and a Product Realization Lab on campus to enhance the entrepreneurial process.
The Danforth Campus will house branches of several current career training programs, such as:
- Engineering Academy
- Biosciences and Medicine Academy
- Computer Science Academy
- Automotive Service
- Interactive Media
Also, Danforth will be the new location for Francis Tuttle's Launch Pad FT business incubator, Workforce and Economic Development, the Center for Municipal Excellence and several Lifelong Learning courses. It will be wireless and mobile-learning friendly, with a 1-to-1 ratio of students using mobile devices.
The Danforth Campus is on schedule to open in July of 2021, ahead of the 2021-2022 school year.
