As one of the largest occupational areas in the United States, highly trained office professionals are in high demand, and that includes the Oklahoma City metro area. The Administrative and Legal Office program teaches MS Office software, business administration skills, customer service, communication techniques and legal terminology.

Graduates of the program will emerge with the confidence and ability to navigate an office workspace. They will be able to establish a rapport with clients and colleagues, proofread and pay attention to the small details that make a big difference, multi-task effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.

This program opens up career possibilities to students as administrative assistants, customer service representatives or legal office secretaries.

Paula Yanik

Accounting and Legal Office instructor

Paula Yanik teaches Accounting and Legal Office at the Reno campus. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with emphasis in accounting at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, and a Master of Education in Adult and Community Education at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. She is a registered Certified Public Accountant, and holds the following certifications: Vocational Certification from the University of Central Oklahoma, Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and multiple Brainbench Certifications, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Paula was named the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education New Professional of the Year in 2007. Paula previously worked at Arthur Andersen & Company, and at Kerr-McGee Corporation.
