The Certified Healthcare Professional curriculum combines components of both Medical Assisting and Nursing Assisting, providing students with a broad knowledge base. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall employment of both medical assistants and nursing assistants are projected to grow between eight and 19 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations. The growth of the aging baby-boom population will continue to increase demand for preventative medical services, which are often provided by physicians. As a result, physicians and care facilities will hire more assistants to perform routine clinical and administrative duties.
Certified healthcare professionals are often the principal caregivers in clinic and acute care settings, as well as in nursing and residential care facilities, and often develop relationships with their patients.
