About this Major

Application development allows you to have a powerful impact through valuable contributions and life-changing opportunities to shape a better world. Students will train on the responsibilities of a developer, which often go beyond writing code. The additional skills taught in this program — research, writing documentation and specs, maintenance, testing software, core implementation, and analysis — enable future developers to assume more ownership fore the full project scope.

Applications touch all areas of industry, both at the forefront and behind the scenes, with some of the most prevalent supporting social media, medical, and financial areas. Training is flexible and can be customized to allow students to specialize in either mobile or web application development.

There's a reason the phrase, "There's an app for that," exists, and it's because someone decided they wanted to make a difference in the world. How will you make a difference?
