About this Major

The Video Producer major offers students the most advanced courses to prepare them for a career in broadcast and video production. Audio and video production, video effects and graphics, and advanced digital techniques are offered both in a classroom setting and through projects that simulate real-world scenarios.

As the popularity of digital media grows, so does the necessity for highly-trained professionals who understand how to use it. This major prepares graduates to enter a successful career in an increasingly important industry.

Careers in broadcast and video require artistic aptitude, flexibility, imagination and creativity. They are often in high-stress environments due to strict deadlines, meaning project management, adaptability, critical thinking and problem solving are essential skills. Two sessions:  Monday — Friday

  • 8 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.
  • 12:30 p.m. to 3:25 p.m.
  • High school students and part-time adults enroll in either AM or PM session.
  • Full-time adult students enroll in both sessions.
