Computer Aided Design & Drafting Technician

Computer Aided Design (CAD) is an integral part of any design team, whether in architectural, engineering, construction, or manufacturing environments. CAD Software is used to aid the drafter in producing output from the computer. Drafters may produce 2D or 3D data as well as printed drawings to turn their ideas into reality. Francis Tuttle’s CAD program starts with principles of engineering, math, geometry, and AutoCAD and progresses to more complex applications like architecture, civil, mechanical, and additive manufacturing. Students will also learn how to produce a resume, conduct presentations, and other skills necessary for a career in drafting.
