Emergency Response and Evacuation Policy
Francis Tuttle Technology Center officials will notify the campus
community immediately upon confirmation of a significant emergency,
unless issuing the notification will compromise efforts to contain the
emergency. Resources that may be used to disseminate emergency
information include the mass notification phone system, email, our main
telephone number greeting message, our home web page, the campus
intercom, and internal alarms.
Graduation Rate
FY '06 data by Francis Tuttle reflects that 87.8% of adult students either complete their program of study or return to complete the program the following year. However, federal mandate requires that Francis Tuttle disclose Graduation Rate data that is based on first-time, full-time, post-secondary attendees. The calculation for 2005-2006 is 35%.
Satisfactory Progress
Satisfactory Progress means that a student is proceeding in a positive manner toward fulfilling certificate requirements in a normal length of time. At Francis Tuttle, Satisfactory Progress means that a student is progressing on schedule in terms of the clock hour length of his/her program. Specifically it means that a student enrolled in a nine-month, or 1056 – hour program should complete 528 hours or a minimum of 70% or 369 hours, in a 528 hour period, normally this is one semester for a full-time student. Students are also required to have a minimum of a “C” grade for good academic standing. The Francis Tuttle attendance requirement is that students attend 91% of scheduled classes. Also students who do not attend for five consecutive days will be withdrawn from Francis Tuttle.
Students transferring from one program to another are responsible for progress in the first program before being eligible for financial aid in the second program. If progress was slow in the first program, a student has a nine-week period in the second program to prove satisfactory progress.
Students who are not making satisfactory progress have half of their next pay period to bring progress up to requirements. If the progress is brought up during this time, then aid will be disbursed to the student. If progress is not brought within standards in this probationary period, the aid will be canceled. It is the student’s responsibility to notify the aid office when progress standards have been met.
Student Behavior Policy
Francis Tuttle reserves the right to remove any individual who disrupts the educational process.
