AXIS Business Incubator Day

Proclamation marks 10 years of AXIS serving entrepreneurs

AXIS Powered by Francis Tuttle is celebrating a decade of serving entrepreneurs and business owners this month, and it has been joined by the State of Oklahoma.

Gov. Kevin Stitt officially declared Sept. 20, 2023, AXIS Business Incubator Day. AXIS celebrates its 10th Anniversary that day with a come-and-go event that includes current clients and successful business alumni.

“Business incubation is an incredible economic development tool in the State of Oklahoma,” AXIS Director Cara Evans said. “I’m very proud to build on the legacy of Francis Tuttle’s service to entrepreneurs and small businesses. I think it says a lot that 72% of the 36 companies started in AXIS continue to operate within the district and give back to FT by serving on advisory committees and hiring our students.”

For a decade now, AXIS — formerly Launch Pad FT — has been a bridge to success for many local businesses. As a state-certified small business incubator, AXIS provides business coaching, services, networking, and other resources to help business owners achieve key benchmarks along their path to growth.

Graduates who successfully meet their business goals qualify for state sales tax relief for up to 10 years. This helps them to expand their operation, hire more people, and pay their employees more.

A come-and-go event is scheduled at the Danforth Campus from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. AXIS business clients and alumni will be in attendance and share their stories of success.
