Beauty is a full-time job, and that's why the world needs trained professionals. Come learn the latest and best techniques behind expert hair, skin and nail treatment from instructors who bring their industry experience to the classroom.

Put those skills to practice in the Francis Tuttle Salons at either Rockwell and Reno locations. The resources available to Cosmetology students match those in a real-world, professional setting, meaning you'll be prepared the minute you're certified.

Social media and advancing technology has opened up new opportunities in cosmetology and related fields. This program gives you the opportunity to expand your horizons and realize your true creative potential.

Completion of the Cosmetology program means you are prepared to take the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering Basic Cosmetologist exam. Already licensed Cosmetologists can take our Master Educator course and pass on their knowledge to those aspiring for a career in the field.

Learn from Experienced Instructors

Grant Davison

Cosmetology instructor

Grant Davison teaches Cosmetology in the FT Salon at the Reno campus. He earned a cosmetology certificate from Forbes Center for Cosmetology Training, an instructor’s license from Metro Technology Center and a Bachelor degree in Trade and Industrial Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Grant has worked in the beauty industry for more than 36 years and constantly looks forward to bestowing his knowledge to his bright and eager students.

Dana Jones

Cosmetology Instructor

Dana Jones teaches Cosmetology in the evening at the Rockwell campus. She is a graduate of Quitman County High School in Marks, Miss., completed and earned her cosmetology license from Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Miss., and earned her Master Instructor License from Francis Tuttle Technology Center. Dana previously worked as a Master Stylist at Healing Waters Salon in Oklahoma City, and at Pala’ Hair Salon in Oklahoma City.

Kathy Phelps

Cosmetology Instructor

Kathy Phelps teaches Cosmetology at the Rockwell Campus. She has a Masters instructor license from the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Trade and Industrial Education as well as a Masters Degree in Education, School Administration through the University of Central Oklahoma. Kathy has over thirty years’ experience teaching and working behind the chair in both Oklahoma and Missouri. She started her career at Francis Tuttle as a high school student and wants to prepare the next generation of cosmetologist to have wonderful futures.

Sheila Kissick

Cosmetology Instructor

Sheila Kissick teaches Cosmetology at the Rockwell salon. She is a licensed Master Instructor of Cosmetology and Barbering. She believes education is the key to success and continues her professional education regularly along with academic education. She currently holds an Associate’s degree in Enterprise Development and is working toward her bachelor’s in Workforce and Economic Development. While attending cosmetology school, she was encouraged by her instructor and competed in professional industry competitions. She shares this same passion with her students and her goal is to inspire all students to become the best future professionals in our industry by involving them in SkillsUSA, a student led organization that gives the opportunity to compete, increase technical and soft skills, and network with industry partners. Sheila has worked in the industry for over 30 years.

Cedric Swift

Cosmetology instructor

Cedric Swift teaches Cosmetology in the FT Salon at the Reno campus. He is licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering and is an Oklahoma state credentialed Career and Technology Education Teacher, also pursuing an Associate of Science degree at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City.
