Medication Administration Technician (MAT)

To enroll in this class apply online

Medication Administration Technician (MAT) training is designed to provide foundational education to direct care staff on safe medication administration techniques. The MAT is responsible for giving medications to residents in select areas such as assisted living facilities and group homes. The 15-hour MAT class is approved by the Department of Human Services (DHS).

The course is a self-paced flexible option format with the option to complete limited online hours via our Flexible Health Zoom Classroom. Students work with the instructor to create a calendar based on individual needs. A certificate of completion will be awarded. Once the initial MAT training is completed, it must be renewed annually by attending an 8-hour update course
