To enroll in this class apply online

This course is designed to provide foundational education to direct care staff on safe and effective medication administration techniques. The MAT is responsible for administering medications to residents in various settings such as assisted living facilities and group homes.

The course consists of 15 hours of instruction, approved by the Department of Human Services (DHS). It is offered in a flexible, self-paced hybrid format, with the option to complete limited online hours via our Flexible Health Zoom Classroom. All skills training and exams are facilitated in person. Students may also choose to complete all hours in person if preferred. You will work with the instructor to create a personalized schedule based on your individual needs. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate of completion.

Once the initial MAT training is completed, it must be renewed annually by attending an 8-hour update course.
