To enroll in this class apply online

This course is intended for currently certified Medication Aides (CMAs) who need to complete the 8 hours of continuing education required by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. It covers topics relevant to medication administration and professional practice updates to meet state renewal standards.

The course includes 8 hours of instruction offered in a flexible, self-paced hybrid format. Hybrid means a combination of in-person classes and optional online hours via our Flexible Health Zoom Classroom. Students work with the instructor to create a personalized schedule and may choose to complete the entire course in person if preferred.

Upon completion, students receive a certificate of attendance and a CMA renewal application. It is the student’s responsibility to submit the renewal form to the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry to update certification status.

Prerequisites

  • Current Long Term Care Aide (LTCA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) status listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry
  • Must meet all requirements of the Nurse Aide Registry for a CMA update
