About this Program

Launch your career in healthcare with our Medical Assisting Program at Francis Tuttle Technology Center. This program prepares students with the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to thrive in one of the fastest-growing healthcare fields.

Students can choose from two majors, designed to meet different career and education goals:

  • Clinical Medical Assistant (High School Students Only)
High school students gain direct, real-world experience in clinical settings. This major focuses on patient care skills, medical terminology, vital signs, phlebotomy, and laboratory procedures. Graduates are well-prepared to support physicians and healthcare teams in clinics, hospitals, and other care facilities.

  • Medical Office Specialist (Adults)
Adult learners build strong foundations in the administrative side of healthcare. Coursework includes medical coding, billing, electronic health records, insurance processing, and front-office operations. Graduates are equipped to work in medical offices, clinics, and healthcare systems, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate record management.

With both paths, you’ll receive industry-focused training, supportive instruction, and opportunities to earn certifications that employers value. Whether you’re starting your journey in healthcare as a high school student or seeking a career change as an adult, our program provides the tools for success.
