CDL Instructor

Francis Tuttle is looking for adjunct trainers in the area of Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL).  Duties to include delivering training for theory (permit prep), and skills and classroom for Class A, and Class B students. Must have good communication, organizational, and computer skills, and familiarity with various types of commercial vehicles.  Must enjoy working with people and have a desire to help others learn. Requires training in outside environments.

Qualifications

  • A current, valid CDL Class A license
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years’ driving experience, with no infractions
  • Able to pass DOT physical and drug screening, and OSBI background check
  • Be able to communication with others using oral and written skills
  • Must be an expert in the field.  Applicants having previous teaching experience is a plus.

Hours

Hours are part-time, schedule will vary. Classes occur primarily during the daytime

Hourly Rate

Starting at $50 / hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications

Safety Trainer

Francis Tuttle is looking for adjunct safety trainers. Ideal candidates will demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in workplace safety.  Must have good communication, organizational, and computer skills, and enjoy working with people and have a desire to help others learn. Trainers will effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment and and maintain up-to-date records of attendance and academic progress. Trainers will ensure syllabus, supply list, and materials are current prior to class.

Qualifications

  • A current, valid CDL Class A license
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of safety training
  • Experience teaching in educational technology a plus
  • OSHA Authorized Trainer preferred
  • CPR / First Aid / AED preferred
  • Strong lecture and demonstrative skills
  • Ability to observe, recognize, interpret, and evaluate
  • Able to pass DOT physical and drug screening, and OSBI background check
  • Posses valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Be able to communication with others using oral and written skills
  • Must be an expert in the field.

Hours

Hours are part-time, schedule will vary. Classes occur primarily during the daytime but may occur on evenings or Saturdays
