About this Program

Business Ownership equips aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners with the knowledge, skills and strategies needed to establish and grow successful business ventures. Students are provided a structured framework and guidance to navigate entity formation, legal considerations, financial planning, management, and marketing.

Modern Marketing is for students who want to develop an in-depth marketing plan for their business or for those interested in the field of marketing. Students in this program not only learn fundamental marketing concepts; product, place, price, promotion, but they learn how to leverage the latest social media techniques and digital tools to create content. Students develop a strategic approach to content planning, execution, and measurement.

High school students and part-time adults enroll in either the AM or PM session. Full-time adult students enroll in both.

Modern Marketing

About this Major

In this major students learn about the marketing of products, services and ideas. It presents essentials for operating in small businesses, corporate settings, and not-for-profit organizations. Students also learn how to create marketing content including; graphics, videos, podcasts, and blogging.  The course emphasizes learning through doing. Students work on special projects or internships. Careers in this field include; social media, content marketing, sales, promotions, brand management, research and human resources, customer service.
