Teacher Preparation

The Teacher Prep Program focuses on various careers within the educational system. This career major prepares students for entry into collegiate programs in education.  Students will focus on elementary and secondary education levels and complete an in-depth internship offering hands-on opportunities to work with students in a classroom setting.

480 hours (Teaching Assistant is a prerequisite for this major)

Length

  • Full-time: 5 months of instruction
  • Part-time: 10 months of instruction
  • Program length may vary based on progress rate and/or summer school attendance

Times

Two sessions: 7:55 am - 11:00 am and 12:30 pm - 3:35 pm, Monday - Friday

High school students and part-time adults enroll in either the AM or PM session. Full-time adult students enroll in both sessions.
