About this Major

As the number of organizations increases and financial regulations remain a focus, the demand for accounting services positions will increase, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Providing useful, accurate financial information is paramount to any company's success.

In the Accounting Associate major, students gain advanced knowledge of accounting practices and administrative duties. They gain experience on how to effectively communicate and manage financial matters in a way that can both keep a company on the right track and illuminate possible next steps in its growth.

Completion of this major qualifies a student to gain certification in a number of accounting services, including accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping and payroll accounting.

  • Part-time students enroll in either AM or PM session. Full-time students enroll in both sessions.
