This major provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in digital media careers. The program starts with the Graphic Design course that teaches design fundamentals and gives students a strong foundation in visual communication and design principles.
After completing the Graphic Design course, students will select two electives that enable them to concentrate on specific areas of interest, such as illustration, web design, video production, or animation. This flexibility allows students to tailor their education to their career goals and interests.
The capstone course is designed to combine all the skills and knowledge students have acquired throughout the major. In this course, students will develop a portfolio of their work showcasing their expertise in digital media and demonstrating their ability to create engaging and compelling digital content.
The Digital Media Specialist major is an excellent choice for students interested in pursuing careers in digital media who want to develop a well-rounded skill set that prepares them for the industry. The major allows students to gain hands-on experience and earn industry certifications to certify their skills.
