“There are so many opportunities at Francis Tuttle, and the instructors are great, with students’ best interests in mind.”

Trinity Howell enjoys helping people with their hair and makeup. She loves it so much, she enrolled in Francis Tuttle's Cosmetology program, and admits that she has learned so much more about math and science than she thought she would.

“Math affects everything in cosmetology and it is vital,” she exclaimed. “I’ve always liked math, and as one example, you have to know how to apply proper angles when cutting hair. And science—cosmetologists are required to learn human anatomy—the diseases that affect hair, nails and skin, basically all of the body—and how to stand, move and breathe properly to maintain a full day of caring for people, on your feet.”

Trinity is a senior at Crescent High School, serves as vice president of Francis Tuttle’s National Technical Honor Society, and as president of her class student organization, SkillsUSA. She tells others “There are so many opportunities at Francis Tuttle, and the instructors are great, with students’ best interests in mind.”

Trinity loves catching up with her grandma, who comes into the training salon almost every week for hair care, and she enjoys her large family of eight brothers and sisters. She has plans to work in a salon, cutting hair, and even has one in mind after completing her program and earning her cosmetology license.

Keep that great attitude, Trinity!
