Automotive Collision Repair Technology
“Mr. Drabek is very knowledgeable about every aspect of collision repair, and he inserts some humor in the learning process, which helps me remember some of the many steps to a top-notch repair. He is a great teacher!”

At first, Crescent junior Kade Finley considered the welding program at Francis Tuttle, but instead elected to pursue the Automotive Collision Repair Technology program, which also includes some welding, and fit with his background.

He had always been around cars, and had been helping his dad, an automotive technician and all-around car buff, work on and build cars since he was very young. He also has several friends who know “nearly everything automotive,” which added to his resolve.

Kade really enjoys the collision repair program, and instructor Clint Drabek, especially. “Mr. Drabek is very knowledgeable about every aspect of collision repair, and he inserts some humor in the learning process, which helps me remember some of the many steps to a top-notch repair. He is a great teacher!”

Kade is helping his dad build a vehicle, a “rock crawler,” and his newfound knowledge of structural integrity has already paid off. Long term, Kade would like to travel around the U.S. and to other countries, and knows that he can earn a good living and take comfort that his chosen career will always be in demand.
