Code of Lending Conduct

Please note that Francis Tuttle Technology Center does not participate in the Direct Loan, Direct Parent PLUS Loan or alternative student loan programs. At Francis Tuttle we believe in holding the highest ethical standards possible. The following code of conduct applies to all officers, employees, and agents of the institution:

We do not participate in revenue-sharing arrangements with any lender.

We do not steer borrowers to particular lenders, nor do we delay loan certifications for any lender who is not on our preferred lender list.

We do not offer funds for private loans to students in exchange for providing concessions or promises to the lender for a specific number of Federal Student Aid loans, a specified loan volume, or a preferred lender arrangement.

Employees of the Financial Aid Office will not accept gifts from lenders, guaranty agencies, or loan servicers.

We do not accept compensation for any type of consulting arrangement or contract to provide services to or on behalf of a lender relating to education loans; nor do we accept compensation for service on an advisory board, commission or group established by lenders or guarantors, except for reimbursement for reasonable expenses.

We will neither request nor accept from any lender any assistance with call center staffing or financial aid office staffing, except that a lender may provide professional development training, educational counseling materials (as long as the materials identify the lender that assisted in preparing the materials), or staffing services on a short-term nonrecurring basis during emergencies or disasters.
