About this Major

Students learn more advanced cabinet-making techniques and managing construction projects. Finishing techniques such as moldings, cabinet installation, and countertops and laminates are taught, in addition to furniture design. Students also learn the qualities of a successful crew leader.

Cabinetry involves detailed work with the hands and eyes. Professionals work according to specific deadlines and must be able to manage projects and tasks and work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects as planned. For success in this career, you should have problem solving skills and attention to detail.

  • 7:55 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • 12:30 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.
  • High school students and part-time adults enroll in either AM or PM session. Full-time adult students enroll in both.
