This course is designed for currently certified Long Term Care Aides (LTCAs) seeking to transition into the role of a Home Health Aide (HHA) through state-approved deeming training. The focus of this course is to provide the essential knowledge and skills required to deliver care in home-based settings while ensuring continuity of quality and safety standards.
The course includes 16 hours of instruction delivered in a flexible, self-paced hybrid format. Hybrid means a combination of in-person classes and limited optional online hours via our Flexible Health Zoom Classroom. All skills training and exams must be completed in person, and students will work with the instructor to create a personalized schedule. Students may also choose to complete all hours in person if preferred.
