This course is intended for individuals interested in becoming Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs). CNAs are employed in a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, assisted living centers, and hospitals. Students will learn patient-care theory, develop hands-on skills in a lab setting, and apply their knowledge during a clinical experience.
The course includes 102 hours of instruction over 12 weeks in a flexible, self-paced hybrid format. Hybrid means a combination of in-person classes and optional online hours via our Flexible Health Zoom Classroom. All skills training and exams must be completed in person, requiring weekly on-site attendance. Students work with the instructor to create a personalized schedule and may choose to complete the entire course in person if preferred.
Students must be proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding English. A valid photo ID and Social Security card are required for state certification. Students are also required to provide proof of immunizations prior to attending clinicals. Requirements are determined by the clinical site. A background check will be conducted and is included in the tuition fee.
