Pharmacy Technician

To enroll in this class apply online

This 60-hour course covers math related to pharmacology, generic and brand name drugs, abbreviations, drug labels, inventory management, rules and regulations, safety, and error prevention in the pharmacy setting. Students learn pharmacy tech theory and skills in a flexible, self-paced learning environment. 

The class is delivered in a hybrid format with the option to complete some hours in an online format, but all exams and skills are completed in the classroom setting. Oklahoma pharmacy technician licensure requires completion of additional training after employment in a pharmacy.

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certification or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is optional for students who meet the certification requirements. More information about the certifications can be found at: https://nhanow.com or https://www.ptcb.org/
