Medical Assisting (MA) - Front Office Only

Administrative medical assistants work on the administrative and clerical side in clinic and hospital settings. They are responsible for scheduling appointments, interacting with patients on the phone, keeping all files and medical records organized, communicating with the health care team, as well as other administrative duties. Students learn front office skills in a flexible, self-paced learning environment.

The 166-hour class is delivered in a hybrid format with the option to complete some hours in an online format via Zoom, but all exams and skills are completed in the classroom setting. Students start with a foundational medical terminology (MT) course.

PLEASE NOTE: Students who have a transcript with an MT Course can request advanced standing credit. Students would need to send a transcript demonstrating the course work has been completed within the last 5 years with a C or better to Upon approval, students will enroll directly with an enrollment consultant (405.717.4900) for the adjusted hours/price.
