Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Advanced Glucose Monitoring Only

This course is designed for currently certified Medication Aides (CMAs) seeking advanced training in diabetes care, specifically focusing on glucose monitoring. This course does not include insulin administration.

The course includes 12 hours of instruction delivered in a flexible, self-paced hybrid format. Hybrid means a combination of in-person classes and limited optional online hours via our Flexible Health Zoom Classroom. All skills training and exams must be completed in person, and students will work with the instructor to create a personalized schedule. Students may also choose to complete all hours in person if preferred.

Prerequisites

  • Current Long Term Care Aide (LTCA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) status listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry
  • Must meet all Nurse Aide Registry requirements for Advanced CMA status
