To enroll in this class apply online

EKG monitor technicians, also called ECG technicians are in high demand at hospitals and clinics! Students study and learn the methods for interpretation of EKG patterns for patients whose hearts are being monitored by EKG testing and bedside telemetry. The predominant cardiac dysrhythmias will be presented in this 32-hour course, as well as other job duties performed by the EKG tech. Students learn EKG theory and skills in a flexible, self-paced learning environment.

The class is delivered in a hybrid format with the option to complete some hours in an online format via Zoom, but all exams and skills are completed in the classroom setting. Skills practice on mannequins is required in the laboratory setting with an option for clinical experience as applicable. Students are subject to meeting the terms of the clinical site contract as it applies to immunizations and clinical requirements. The class prepares you for entry level EKG monitor technician positions.

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certification is optional for students who meet the certification requirements. More information about the certification can be found at: https://nhanow.com
